Identity Verification Terms
About these terms
These terms apply when you ask Dee Dee Sale to verify your identity from My account → Verify my account. They are part of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Why we verify
Verification is voluntary. A verified member shows a verified tick, and some features (for example opening a store) need it. It helps buyers and sellers trust each other and helps us stop fraud and fake accounts.
What we collect
- Your full name and country
- Photos of your official document and its type
- Only if we ask for them: your date of birth, document number and document expiry date
- When switched on: a short face video in which you say a number shown on the screen
- The result, the date and the staff member who decided
Your consent
Identity documents and face videos are sensitive personal data. We use them only with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box before you send. You can withdraw it at any time: cancel a request that is still waiting, or ask us to remove your verification.
How we check
Authorised staff check your request by hand. We do not build a face recognition database and no decision is made by a machine alone. You will get one of these answers:
- Approved: the verified tick appears on your account
- Please send again: we tell you what to fix
- Declined: this decision is final
How we use it
We use your documents and video only to verify your identity and to keep the verified tick genuine. We never use them for advertising, never sell them and never share them, unless the law requires it.
How we protect it
- Files and document numbers are encrypted (AES-256)
- Only authorised staff can open them
- Every decision is recorded with who made it
How long we keep it
- You cancel a waiting request: the files are deleted at once
- You delete your account: all verification data is deleted
- Otherwise we keep it while your account is open, so the verified tick stays genuine
Your responsibilities
Send only your own, genuine and valid document. A forged document, someone else's document or a false video means the request is declined and the account may be suspended. If your details later prove false, we may remove the verified tick.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent. In Thailand you can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
