How We Use Data for Security
What we record
- IP address and country
- Device and browser
- Sign-in times and whether they succeeded
- Important account actions, such as changes to security settings
Why we record it
- To spot sign-ins that do not look like you and stop repeated attempts
- To find fake accounts, scams and misuse
- To look into reports and protect members
- To meet our legal duties
Who can see it
Only authorised staff can see this data, and important staff actions are recorded too.
How long we keep it
Sign-in history is kept for 180 days. Other security records are kept only as long as they are needed for these purposes or as the law requires.
Sharing
We share security data with authorities only when the law requires it.
